Tell the Trump Administration: Stop Attacking the Endangered Species Act.

The Trump administration recently announced changes to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) that would:

• Weaken protections for species designated as “threatened”;
• Allow regulators to assess the economic impact of classifying a species as endangered;
• Prohibit consideration of the effects of climate change on endangered species;
• Make it easier to remove species from the endangered list.

The administration claims the updates are “improvements,” but these changes are feathering the nest for corporations and pro-pollution lobbyists at the expense of the animals most at risk. Countless animals have been brought back from the brink of extinction thanks to the ESA, and with the impacts of climate change threatening ecosystems worldwide, it's critical that the ESA remain intact.
