I am heading back to DC and ready to fight back

17,000 of you joined my telephone town hall with Assistant Leader Joe Neguse. Many of you were angry, fearful, concerned, and frustrated with the actions of Trump and Musk, and you raised the question: What are Democrats doing to stop them?

Democrats are fighting back. I am fighting back. In the last few weeks, I have met with many of you to understand the impact of Trump and his budget cuts on you:

• I spoke with folks involved in trade at a conference to understand the impact of Trump's tariffs and how these tariffs will hurt Northwest Washington
• I held a roundtable with local food banks and providers of food who are concerned about cuts to the U.S. Department of Agriculture programs that they utilize to purchase fresh produce locally
• I toured the NAS Whidbey Island's Naval clinic, which provides services to the men, women, and families who serve at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, to hear their concerns
• I met with dairy producers and farmers in Whatcom County about their struggles

Friends, neighbors, and community members from all parts of Northwest Washington are being impacted. Many folks are concerned about the cuts, the impact of the trade tariffs, and health care access. I am heading back to DC with all your stories. I will continue to fight for you, your family, and our community.
