Doorbelling to policy: commitment and hard work

The Everett Herald and Cascadia Daily News Editorial Boards have endorsed my campaign!

From the Herald:

"[Larsen] put considerable effort into the opioid and fentanyl crisis in his most recent term, releasing a comprehensive report this year with recommendations for the district... Voters should take advantage of [his] expertise and return Larsen to his work."

Cascadia Daily News Editorial Board also shared their endorsement today, and you can read that here.

"Consistent with longstanding positions, Larsen also emphasized the need for universal health care coverage. He vows to support reduced premiums for the federal Affordable Care Act, which he told CDN was 'one of the most consequential bills that I've been part of helping to pass.' And he reiterated his longstanding support for safeguarding provisions for health care and other benefits for seniors via Social Security and Medicare...

Larsen said he has had constituents ask, while he's out doorbelling, why he does so, given electoral victory margins in the mid-60 percentages. 'I get 63 to 65 percent of votes because I doorbell — not the other way around,' he said. 'I don't take anything for granted.'"

These endorsement articles provided a rundown of my commitments and accomplishments when it comes to infrastructure, the opioid and fentanyl crisis, veterans, the environment, and reproductive rights. My values and my work are driven by what I have learned from a lifetime in Northwest Washington.

I stand by all the work we have accomplished together thus far, but I know there is much more work to do together.

With your vote and my experience in Congress, I am ready to get back to work fighting for our future and our families. There is much more to do, and I will keep moving us forward.

This is not a position I take for granted. The people of Northwest Washington deserve to have their values reflected in the leadership they elect, and I will be working hard every day. The stakes are too high this election, and everyone must do their part to show up for their values and protect our democracy.

More soon,

Rick
