We need to elect these 6 women

The future of our nation — from lowering health care costs and addressing the opioid epidemic to infrastructure and climate action — hinges on regaining Democratic control of the House of Representatives.

This year, all 435 House seats are on the ballot, but the number of highly competitive or "in play" districts is much smaller. Between 30-35 seats are considered highly competitive, these are pivotal races that could decide whether Democrats or Republicans secure the majority in the House.

I have been working to ensure that these candidates have the resources they need to succeed. That means coalition building, fundraising, and reaching out to people like you to spread the word. Our ability to regain control of the House could come down to these critical races right here in the Pacific Northwest — will you help me support them?

Let me introduce you to six outstanding candidates from the Pacific Northwest who are in tough races and essential to our success:

The candidates are not just important electorally — they bring a wealth of knowledge, leadership skills, and diverse backgrounds to the House and will help set impactful agendas and uplift working families nationwide. Here are just a few of the reasons why I am so proud to endorse them:

Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (WA-03)

Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a small business owner, is focused on restoring economic fairness and bridging the rural-urban divide. Her leadership is crucial for maintaining common-sense policies in Washington's 3rd District.

Emily Randall (WA-06)

Emily Randall is running to become the first out LGBTQ+ Latina in Congress. Her background in health care and education makes her a fierce advocate for affordable health care and student debt relief.

Dr. Kim Schrier (WA-08)

Dr. Schrier, a pediatrician, has fought to lower health care costs and protect reproductive rights. She is committed to delivering for Washington's families, particularly around ensuring access to affordable, high-quality health care and climate action.

Janelle Bynum (OR-05)

A leader in Oregon's state legislature, Janelle Bynum has been a strong voice for small businesses and racial justice. Her experience as a business owner and legislator will serve her district well.

Rep. Val Hoyle (OR-04)

Val Hoyle, a champion for labor and working families, has been fighting for good jobs and affordable health care. She is running to continue her strong record of service in Oregon's 4th District.

Rep. Mary Peltola (AK-AL)

Alaska's Mary Peltola made history as the first Alaska Native elected to Congress. She is a dedicated advocate for the environment, fisheries, and Native communities, ensuring Alaska's unique voice is heard.

We have a narrow path to victory in the House. Democrats must hold our seats and flip five crucial seats held by Republicans to regain control of the House and put a stop to the chaos caucus. Will you chip in a contribution to be split amongst these six important candidates?

Together, these six women in the Pacific Northwest are fighting for the issues that matter most: affordable health care, climate action, and economic justice. But they can't win without your support.

More soon,

Rick
