Good news from Transportation for Washington

As the Ranking Member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I am proud to announce that I have earned the endorsement of Transportation for Washington (T4WA)! T4WA is an organization dedicated to preserving, funding, expanding, and promoting public transit and transportation choices in Washington state.

Advancing public transportation means creating jobs, improving safety, prioritizing our environment, and enriching the daily lives of Washingtonians. The work of T4WA makes a tangible difference for us, but they cannot tackle this alone.

That is why I have continuously worked to bring home federal money for critical local infrastructure projects. Over the last few years, through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Community Project Funding Requests program, I have been able to bring over a hundred million dollars in funding to the 2nd District to invest in our community and create jobs. From upgrades to roads and bridges in Skagit County and Lynnwood, to safe routes to school in Lynden, to road improvements that will make possible a green technology center in Everett — these projects have a tangible impact on our community.
