A win for America and democracy

BREAKING NEWS: Today the United States Supreme Court ruled that Alabama's Republican led legislature diluted the power of Black voters by drawing a congressional map with only a single Black majority district.

This is a win for Alabama, for America, and for our democracy.

Our democracy relies on the integrity of our elections, but gerrymandering, like we saw in Alabama, does nothing but undermine our democracy. I applaud the court for upholding the law and protecting our democracy.

But this singular win will not restore our democracy. We must pass the America Votes Act, a bill I introduced in Congress to protect and expand the right to vote across America. Our grassroots campaign will not stop fighting for voting rights because every American deserves a voice, and that is why:

I am fighting to make vote-by-mail a national right.

I am fighting to ensure same day registration for EVERY American.

I am fighting to end pernicious voter ID laws.

American Democracy is a gift given to us by the many generations who fought for our rights, and now it is our responsibility to lead this fight. Our grassroots campaign is fighting to protect our democratic values. Can I count on you to join this fight?
