Health care hangs in the balance
The Trump administration is fighting in the Supreme Court to overturn the Affordable Care Act, which would rip health coverage away from millions of Americans in the middle of a pandemic.
And to strengthen his chances of winning this case, Donald Trump announced Judge Amy Coney Barrett as his Supreme Court nominee. The Washington Post reported Monday that Barrett has criticized the legal logic behind a Supreme Court decision upholding the ACA.
The ACA is in real jeopardy.
I believe health care is a right, and I will continue to fight in the House to protect the ACA from this administration's actions. Join me today in donating $12 before tomorrow night's midnight fundraising deadline.
Repealing the ACA would mean that 565,000 Washingtonians could lose health coverage and 3.1 million Washingtonians could lose protections for pre-existing conditions.
Vote your health this November. There is too much at stake to leave anything to chance. We must defeat Trump and elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
Thank you for your continued support,
Rick
