Education in Northwest Washington

I am honored to have earned the National Education Association's endorsement.

The words of Washington Education Association President Larry Delaney mean so much to me: "As a former high school math teacher in the Lakewood School District, I have seen firsthand Rick Larsen's commitment to supporting public school students and educators. Larsen has continued to work in Congress to help expand access to quality education, bridge the digital divide, and make higher education more affordable. We are proud to endorse him."

The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare disparities in our educational system, including the digital divide among students. We must continue to make sure every student has access to high-quality education, and the tools they need to succeed.

I am working to ensure students have access to affordable higher education, skills training through K-12 education, and science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) in early childhood education.
