Everyone deserves to be treated with respect
The statistics surrounding domestic violence are sobering. 1 in 3 women, and 1 in 7 men have experienced violence at the hands of an intimate partner. Domestic violence accounts for 15% of all violent crimes in the county.
In 2018, 573,670 calls, texts, and online chats were initiated to the National Domestic Violence hotline – a 36% increase since the year prior.
This month, members of Congress passed a resolution in support of the efforts of advocates, assistance organizations, and survivors. If you're interested in getting involved, learning more, or accessing services, these organization may be helpful:
