Now, it's the Senate's turn.

Last month, the House of Representatives passed landmark civil rights protections for LGBTQIA+ Americans.

The Equality Act extends anti-discrimination protections to LGBTQIA+ Americans for employment, education, access to credit, jury service, federal funding, housing, and public accommodations.

My colleagues in the House and I agree: it is unacceptable for Americans to face discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity in housing, education and employment. Now, it's the Senate's turn.

Today, we recognize the anniversary of the Supreme Court marriage equality decision by asking you to join our movement. Sign the petition: tell Mitch McConnell and the Senate to protect the rights of all Americans!

I support equality for all Americans and stand with our LGBTQIA+ community.
