After last week's primary, we need to keep up our momentum towards taking back the U.S. House in November.

If the Republicans keep the majority, Social Security will be threatened by even deeper tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires. We cannot afford to let that happen.

One in six Washingtonians receive Social Security benefits. Our seniors have spent a lifetime contributing to Social Security, and we owe it to them and future generations to ensure this safety net is secure.

Now is not the time to sit back. Congressional Republicans have publicly announced that undermining Social Security is the next item on their agenda.

We have to fight hard to win this election because the economic security of our loved ones is at stake.
