The people of Puerto Rico have suffered tremendously following hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.

Hurricane season 2018 has just begun and many people in Puerto Rico still do not have electricity. In order for the Puerto Rican people and economy to recover, they must rebuild the infrastructure critical to daily life.

There is so much we take for granted in Northwest Washington, that is why I have co-signed a petition to tell fellow Congresspersons that we cannot abandon Puerto Rico.

• Restore Puerto Rico's electrical grid
• Rebuild Puerto Rico's infrastructure to withstand hurricanes
• Quickly provide emergency assistance against natural disasters
