Washington State Labor Council endorses Rick Larsen for Congress
On Saturday, I was endorsed by the Washington State Labor Council at their COPE (Committee on Political Education) Convention in Seattle.
This endorsement is personal for me. Growing up, my dad was a Snohomish County PUD lineman and long-time member of IBEW Local 77. As one of eight siblings, his union job literally put a shirt on our backs.
"We proudly endorse Rick Larsen for the second congressional seat," said Philip Lindquist of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council #5. "He's always been a good friend of the building trades and IUPAT, and we're glad to continue that working relationship at such a critical time for labor."
As the only Washington state delegate on the House Transportation Committee, I will continue to fight for a robust nationwide infrastructure program that puts men and women to work building our roads, bridges, and highways.
I believe it is our party's mission to build a better America in which working people know that somebody has their back. If you feel the same, I ask for your support. Join us by volunteering or contributing to our campaign.
