Thank you
Friends,
We had a big win for the 2nd District this week. The numbers are still coming in, but it looks like we may well see voter support at more than 65%.
I see this overwhelming support as a firm foundation and mandate for me to continue to focus on the priorities I have set: addressing climate change, protecting the environment, fighting for transportation investments and jobs, and making sure veterans get the resources they have earned.
I want to thank you for all of the support you have provided to me and my campaign. With your help, we knocked on 15,623 doors and made 15,369 phone calls. You helped bring this victory to the finish line.
That said, I know that the results of the presidential election may have left many disappointed and dispirited. As President Obama and Secretary Clinton both stated, we must come together for the good of our country now.
I expect to have some strong differences with the incoming administration, but I am committed to working together where I can, and resisting where I must.
I ask for your continued support. It makes all the difference.
Rick
