Larsen Wins Primary Election; Campaign in Strong Position Heading into General Election
EVERETT—Rick Larsen, D-Everett, tonight earned a commanding victory in Washington’s Second Congressional District Primary Election, giving his campaign strong momentum going into the fall campaign.
“I am humbled by the strong support of my candidacy and I am eager to continue working hard this fall to earn the confidence and trust of voters in Northwest Washington,” Larsen said. “Thank you to all of my supporters and the volunteers who have donated their time and energy so that I can continue working on the issues that matter to families in Northwest Washington.
“I take great pride in representing Washington’s Second District in Congress. Not only is it one of the most beautiful parts of the country, it is also where I was born and raised. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support for my campaign because it shows that folks across Northwest Washington back my focus on creating jobs, rebuilding the middle class, and protecting the benefits that our seniors and veterans have earned.”
“I am taking nothing for granted. My campaign and I will work hard to reach out to voters and listen to their thoughts and concerns. I want to be as accessible as ever, and I look forward to continue meeting new voters in South Snohomish County, as well as reintroducing myself to the rest of the Second District.”
Larsen’s campaign is well-positioned heading into the General Election. Larsen has raised more than $1 million for this race according to the most recent Federal Election Commission report. The Larsen campaign has doorbelled more than 10,200 homes and called more than 10,500 households through the Primary.
