With so many questions about Congress these days, it’s important to me to always remember from where I came. Dad was a power line worker in Snohomish County for many years. Mom worked hard at home raising eight kids. It wasn't a fancy upbringing, but it was a solid one in my hometown of Arlington.
My parents always pressed us to do well in school and to remember our commitments to the community in which we live and serve. These values of service, commitment and community are what motivate me each day on your behalf. These values drive the priorities for which I am working.
Serving in Congress is a privilege, and I have always been your neighbor first and your Congressman second. My heart has always been here in Washington state. I am working for you.
Please join me at a kickoff event in your community.
Best,
Rick
