“These leaders are publicly committing their support to my re-election, encouraging others to assist my re-election efforts, and specifically asking folks to attend my campaign kick-off event on June 2nd in Everett,” Larsen said. “My host committee reflects strong geographic diversity of support for my campaign,” he continued.
“You can tell Rick was born and raised in Snohomish County,” said Mayor Ray Stephanson of Everett. “He knows the ins and outs of our community and is deeply committed to making sure families can enjoy living and working here for generations to come.”
“Rick is a champion for our labor community,” said Larry Brown, Political Director Aerospace Machinists 751. “Rick has spent years advocating for Boeing in the tanker bid because he believes in our aerospace workforce. Local workers know they have a friend in Rick and that he is using his job in Congress to fight for good jobs back home.”
“Representative Larsen is a pragmatic leader who knows how to get things done during these tough economic times,” said State Representative Marko Liias. “He is working hard every day to get our economy back on track and grow jobs for families in our Snohomish County.”
“Rick Larsen makes it a priority to spend time on the ground talking to local families and small business owners,” said Mayor Dennis Kendall of Marysville. “He is familiar with our local needs, he listens to the people that live here, and he has a strong track record of getting things done for Snohomish County.”
As the Representative serving Snohomish County, Larsen’s priorities continue to be focused on creating jobs, holding Wall Street accountable and helping seniors with Medicare prescription drug costs.
“Small businesses in our community are struggling to stay afloat. I’ve visited numerous small businesses and manufacturers in Snohomish County who are fighting their way out of the recession. I want to help them. I want to see the ‘Made in America’ label again. I will do all I can to spur economic growth and help our businesses create jobs in our area,” said Larsen.
“Middle class families across Snohomish County are still devastated by this economic crisis. Hardworking folks lost their jobs, retirement savings and homes through no fault of their own while Wall Street played with their futures. I am committed to getting people back to work, helping families hurt most by this recession and building a foundation for future economic growth that will restore our financial security and support good jobs well into the future,” Larsen concluded.
